General terms
Barcodes are exclusively
ascribed to the following professional categories:
- Manufacturer
- Author (must have a certificate of ISBN codes from the National
Library)
- Publisher
- Service provider
- Farmer (must have a certificate enabling him/her to undertake a
farming activity)
- Conditioning (must have a trade mark)
- International trader (must have a trade mark)
For other cases such as:
- Trader
- Retailer
- Distributor
- Wholesaler
- Financial oragnism
GS1 Tunisia may assign codes for GLN locations to clearly identify physical locations and guarantee an electronic information exchange among different trade partners.
