Today, no one should be unaware that the use of coding standards in goods' management along the supply chain, makes it possible to know, in real time, the stocks and the traceability of goods. It also allows production cost-cutting, the reduction to the maximum of orders delivery periods and decrease of heavy stocks.

These productivity profits can be reached only with the implication of manufacturers, distributors and other barcode users, who are called to use, with good knowledge, the data displayed through barcode on product packings and logistic units.

By using the suitable means of sensitizing (seminars, documentation, website, presses, presence at the shows and fairs …), GS1 Tunisia, constantly, works for the promotion of barcode and all other GS1 standards, thus generalizing their use as well as possible in related sectors.

These modern management tools, will undoubtedly, make it possible for the various users to be at the tuning fork of information, and thus gain the challenges of the 21st century : rationalization, profitability, competitiveness.

With the paddle of this 21st century, GS1 Tunisia is ready and available to accompany its members in their steps to integrate technologies inside their management process and logistics. This framework, GS1 Tunisia has itself undertook a program of levelling enabling it :

 

  • To modernize its information system
  • To develope an electronic catalogue in order to serve its members.
  • To launch a remote training in collaboration with GS1.
  • To launch an eligible training scheme to rebate TFP : pallets labelling, traceability, e-commerce...
  • To launch an annual investigation to know industrialists' needs and thus better serving them
  • To launch regional and sectoral seminars during all the year (at least 1 every 2 months )
  • To create sectoral working groups
  • To launch network traceability and electronic commerce projects

To remain in phase with the new practises on the international level, and to anticipate the new tendencies, GS1 Tunisia opens on the university and launches a program of annual cooperation with the higher educational establishments through:

  • Presentation of conferences putting the emphasis on all GS1 standards
  • Proposal of ESP subjects (End of Studies Projects) and their related framing
  • The reception of the trainees inside GS1 Tunisia's Head Office, or among its members' companies
