Pâti Prestige ameliorates its traceability
Specialized in fresh pastry making under controlled atmosphere (7 days Deadline), Pâti Prestige (two sites, 116 employees, 10 M euros) manufactures short series and delivers its customers in alloted batches. The company chose the solution of IER “Qualibook”, in order to apply a complete traceability of its chain of production.

According to the explanations of Jean-Michel Combaz, chairman of the Grenoble-native company “the traceability downstream was computerized, the traceability upstream was always on paper with an uncertainty on separation between two successive series; so there is a need, in the event of possible problems, to point out all both production”.
The Qualibook solution makes it possible to integrate a system of traceability since the reception of the raw materials until the forwarding of the finished products, while passing by the transformation of the products. Moreover, it enables the industrialists to conform with the requirements of the new European regulations of January 1, 2005, by founding a better transparency of the production and a better system of data filing .
According to Jean-Michel Combaz, “with Qualibook, we apply a bar code to each entering batch of raw materials, according to an internal nomenclature. Information quality (temperatures of eggs, bacteriological analyses…) are informing us with a legal tender control. In manufacture, a standard card receipt is called and a manufacture bar code is being generated. The whole of the ingredients used are scanned. In addition to the traceability tree which results from it, it is possible to have, in real time, the state of my stocks and the validation of my the whole costs”. The chairman of Patiprestige industry concludes by stressing that “the Qualibox aluminum tool I own, is a flexible and reactive system for an investment of 150 K euros for the two sites”.
