GS1 Tunisia « Traceability Standards »
- Within the framework of the traceability, GS1 Tunisia controls the conformity of the logistic label in comparison with the international standard.
- The installation of the standard logistic labels using the GS1-128, largely facilitates the trade between industrialists and distributors.
- These standards indeed make it possible to meet the needs of the companies and distributors like the requirements of the various regulations on the matter (regulation on the general safety of the products n°2001/95, rule (EC) n° 178/2002).
- The phase of tests between partners, related to the implementation of the logistic labels on forwarding units .
- Considering the request of its members (distributors and suppliers), GS1 Tunisia proposes a service controlling standard logistic labels.
- GS1 Tunisia checks the conformity of the labels produced by the company in terms of contents, format, structure.
- Result Reports are emitted by GS1 Tunisia to make it possible for the company to adapt its tools.
- If controls of conformity (labels) are passed successfully, the member then receives a competence qualification relating to the good use of GS1-128 standard for the creation of Logistic labels.
2 traceability trainings :
GS1 Tunisia recommends as a preliminary the follow-up of one of the traceability training modules for the achievement of conformity controls:
- A training dedicated to the traceability, the lawful requirements, the design of a standard logistic label using the GS1-128.
Controls and checks increasingly solicited
- GS1 Tunisia always seeks to accompany its members in their steps of codings, for this purpose, GS1 Tunisia puts the emphesis on the checking and the control of the bar codes.
These controls are undoubtedly explained by the fact that from January 1, there is an implementation of the European rule (EC) n° 178/2002 concerning the traceability of food.
